A native of Guatemala, Dr. Reina holds Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from both La Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (2000) and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry (2011), as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry (Prosthodontics) from Indiana University School of Dentistry (2009). 

 

During her three year Prosthodontics residency at IU, Dr. Reina served as Assistant Chief Resident of the Graduate Prosthodontics program and as a laboratory instructor for undergraduate Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics classes.  She was the 2009 recipient of the Dr. Carl and Ida Andres Scholarship Award.

 

Dr. Reina then served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy from August 2009 to August 2011.  While serving on the faculty of at UDM, Dr. Reina received the 2010 Outstanding Clinical Faculty Member Award and completed requirements for her second D.D.S. degree.

 

Dr. Reina has been in private practice in Carmel since 2012.  In addition to seeing patients in her office, Dr. Reina spent a number of years traveling throughout the state of Indiana providing comprehensive, school-based pediatric dental services in underserved areas of the state.

 

Dr. Reina is a member of the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontics, and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.  She is licensed to practice dentistry in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan and is fluent in Spanish and English. 

 

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Reina is a strong advocate for better dental care for the poor and underserved of Guatemala and regularly makes trips to remote areas of Guatemala to treat those without access to dental care.
